FirstLine Earns SAFETY Act Designation
In an announcement that has a significant impact for airports, the Department of Homeland Security has designated FirstLine Transportation Security’s passenger and baggage screening services as anti-terrorist technology and further designated FirstLine as a seller of this technology under the provisions of the Support Anti-terrorism by Fostering Effective Technologies (SAFETY) Act of 2002. This decision makes FirstLine the first and only private passenger and baggage screening company to receive the designation.
